INNER LAKES – Dark Energy EP

It is exciting to see a new label doing so well in a country that is not traditionally known for techno. Junction Forest is a physical record store in Seoul, South Korea and also a recent home to releasing some great techno sounds. ‘Dark Energy’ by Inner Lakes is their newest record and comes with four strong late-night romps into classic but updated techno and trance sounds.’H2k’ is a hypnotic builder that rides a nasty bassline to a triumphant ending while ‘Sundown’ is a mysterious traveller that takes you into another realm. On the flip side, the title track is an uptempo track that takes on a more spiritual trance path. Lastly, ‘Voo2’ is a wicked voyage into darker techno and trance happiness.
